WHO ARE WE?

The Degralia Alliance is a close cooperation between Powerpack NV (Belgium) and Poligroup Ltd (Bulgaria).
We want to introduce new environmentally friendly technology and applications for the packaging market in Europe.

Manufacturing with classic compostable materials (e.g PLA) is already integrated for some time in the world of packaging. The importance of compostable materials is increasing. The new EU directive for light weight carrier bags will encourage some countries to stimulate the use of biodegradable/compostable materials.

The “big” price difference with fossil based PE is still an important barrier to switch to biobased, biodegradable resin.
Powerpack, with its R&D capabilities on biomaterials, will be able to close the existing price gap, step by step.
The Degralia Alliance becomes the first in Europe with fully integrated production facilities (production of bioresin, extrusion and converting).
